Ordering & Payment

We ask that you review your order carefully, as it cannot be modified once submitted.

Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email that includes your order number and an approximate order total. Your order total will not include duties, taxes or carrier brokerage fees. If applicable, these fees will be assessed upon delivery by the postal carrier, and must be paid by the order recipient. For Canada only: we offer prepaid import fees. Click here to check the status of your order.

Your order total will be calculated in USD. Please note that your method of payment may be charged in your local currency at an exchange rate selected by the issuing bank, and may also include foreign transaction fees. These are not determined by Anthropologie, and are not included in your order total at checkout.

While you may see a preauthorization on your selected method of payment, you will not be charged until your items are ready to ship from our warehouse. Your order may ship in multiple packages, and may be subject to additional carrier brokerage fees, as determined by your postal carrier if, when purchased, import fees were due upon delivery. The shipping and handling fee you were quoted at checkout will be prorated and applied based on the value of each individual shipment and does not include duties, taxes, or carrier brokerage fees.

For Canadian customers who select prepaid import fees, the total billed at checkout includes duty, taxes, and carrier brokerage fees. You will not have to pay anything additional upon delivery.

Please note that we are unable to process your order if we cannot obtain an authorization from your credit card company. You will be notified by email if there is an issue with your payment. We will keep your order on file for 48 hours before it will be cancelled. Please respond quickly; merchandise cannot be held for your order and may become unavailable.

We accept the following methods of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, China Union Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Link, and Anthropologie, Maeve, and BHLDN gift cards and e-gift cards.

Payment Issues

If your payment method was declined, it may have been unsuccessful due to incorrect information, card expiration, or insufficient funds. You can choose a new method of payment and contact your bank or the credit card company if you continue to experience difficulties placing your order. For further assistance, please contact us.

Gift Cards & E–Gift Cards

Gift cards may be purchased online or in US and Canada stores. E-gift cards may be purchased online and will be emailed to your recipient within approximately one hour of your order. You will receive an email confirmation once the e-gift card has been sent. Don't want to send it right away? You can also choose a future date of email delivery!

Gift cards and e-gift cards are available in select amounts from $25 to $2,000 and are only valid for redemption in the currency they were originally purchased. Click here for additional information.

If you are experiencing difficulties entering your gift card, or have a gift card without a pin, please call our Gift Card line (1-800-920-5656) and allow 24-48 business hours for a response.

Price Adjustments

If you have purchased items that are now on sale, we will gladly offer you a one–time price adjustment on full-price purchases only. Please contact us with an original sales receipt within 14 days of original sales purchase.

For online or phone orders, contact us. Please note that price adjustments for online and phone orders cannot be made in stores, and price adjustments are not applicable to shipping charges.

For store purchases, visit your local store. Please note that price adjustments for store purchases cannot be made over the phone. Visit our store locator to find the location nearest you.

If your item(s) have already shipped, your price adjustment refund will post to the original payment method in approximately 1-3 business days after the processing date. If your item(s) have not yet shipped, your order total will reflect the adjusted amount when you are charged. If you return an item that has been price adjusted, you will be refunded the adjusted amount.

Price Differences

We make every attempt to have consistent pricing throughout our catalog, website and stores. Occasionally we offer website-exclusive promotions, but we will gladly match anthropologie.com prices in our stores.

Duties, taxes and carrier brokerage fees are determined by the customs agency and postal carrier within the destination country.

Although charges are not always incurred, assessment of these fees will be based on the value of the order and the tax–free threshold, if it exists, for goods imported into the destination country. Payment of them is the responsibility of the recipient, and they will be collected at the time of delivery. Please note that orders shipped in multiple packages may be subject to additional carrier brokerage fees, as determined by your postal carrier. These fees are nonrefundable.

For orders shipping to Canada, with regard to import fees, we offer two options: import fees due upon delivery and import fees prepaid. By selecting import fees due upon delivery, you are responsible for paying all duties, taxes and carrier brokerage fees assessed upon delivery, all of which are nonrefundable. By selecting import fees prepaid, the total billed at checkout will have an Import Fee, which includes all taxes, duties, and related administrative expenses to send the goods to your “ship to” location. You will not have to pay anything additional upon delivery, and these import fees are refundable if you return item(s).

Please note: As of 1 July 2018, Anthropologie is required to collect 10% Australian GST on all orders valued at A$1,000 or less imported into Australia.
As of 1 December 2019, Anthropologie is required to collect 15% New Zealand GST on all orders valued at NZ$1,000 or less imported into New Zealand.

Canada: Casual Goods Power of Attorney & Refund Statement

By ordering goods from Anthropologie, I hereby authorize Rutherford Customs Broker chosen by Anthropologie to act as my agent, and to transact business with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to clear my merchandise, account for duties and taxes, to return merchandise to Anthropologie, and prepare and submit refund claims on my behalf for any merchandise that I return. I understand that the CBSA will send any refund of duties and taxes that were paid on the returned merchandise to the broker, and that I will obtain the refund directly from Anthropologie. Further, I also authorize the customs broker to endorse any refund cheque issued by the CBSA in my name, so that Anthropologie can be reimbursed.
